MARIO 2004: A SuperMario.exe Re-Take
MARIO 2004
A SuperMario.exe Re-Take

DEVELOPMENT STORY:

Well, it all started last year when AlbertGames was banned for sending inappropriate photos to minors, which forced him to leave the Horrorbrew community, leaving Midnightz as Dario's new owner. He completely redesigned the character to avoid any possible connection with the original, turning him into what we now know as SuperMario.exe.

One day, just to pass the time, I was trying out some of his old games, like HelpMe.exe, Super Mario Ghost.exe Deluxe, as well as Super Mario.exe and its remake, Super Mario.exe: REBORN, and I really enjoyed them. Then it occurred to me to create a new and improved version of the game so that Albert and Dario wouldn't be forgotten. So I started writing the story and making some sketches of the game. And yes, the first designs for 2004 M were copied from Harpent and SuperMario.exe. I wasn't very creative back then, so I had to change the design to avoid problems.

I created the game's page on June 26th, and within a few weeks, it started attracting a lot of attention from the community. Among the first followers were LiNX_4, SunFIRE, CloudyJolt, Morganproductions2, and others. The response was incredible and motivated me to keep going.

Shortly after, I started building a team to accelerate the project's development. I managed to bring on three initial collaborators: TheMrAngelGames584, NeedleMouse727, and BobIDKsmthing. Thanks to their support, progress was much smoother and faster. A month later, I decided to consolidate everything into an official team, which is now Team Nightmare.

The game demo was released for the #Luigikid4EXEChallenge, but unfortunately, it wasn't very successful, and many people complained that it was a walking simulator. That's why I want to improve the levels, graphics, and soundtrack.

As of today, MARIO 2004 is still in development, and although we've made significant progress, there's still much to improve and refine. Furthermore, the game and the character are no longer linked to Dario or AlbertGames to avoid future issues. It's now simply a remaster of SuperMario.exe. Nothing more.

The truth is, without your support, this wouldn't be possible. Every comment, every piece of advice, and every show of support has been essential in keeping this passion alive.

I sincerely thank you for joining us on this journey. The story continues, and this is just the beginning.

Thank you so much for reading!
